LUMO takes home gold at The Worthies

LUMO is proud to be recognised with two prestigious Gold Awards at The Worthies in The Best Use of OOH Media and Best Public Sector Advertising campaign for our campaign Warnings You Can't Miss in collaboration with Metservice, NEMA, VML, Peron, and Latch. The Worthies recognise the most effective, impactful and courageous work in New Zealand's Public and NFP (Not-For-Profit) sectors, which are often very complex and overlooked in industry awards programmes.
In response to recent severe weather events in New Zealand, LUMO recognised the need for advanced communication methods that are highly visible, reactive and capable of delivering real-time updates through the dynamic capabilities of digital out-of-home (DOOH) advertising. To meet this need, LUMO has developed a solution the provides real-time, location-based alerts directly to the New Zealand public during critical times.
This innovative approach ensures that important weather warnings effectively reach communities advancing how risks are communicated. By integrating data from MetService and NEMA, LUMO uses programmatic capabilities to deliver immediate, localised alerts to specific areas, significantly supporting public safety during emergencies.
