LUMO-Great Southern Lights, located in Penrose, will go live on 2 November 2026 and introduces a landmark large-format digital screen to one of the city’s most important transit arterials. The site connects the Auckland CBD, Auckland Airport, and major commercial centres across East, Central and South Auckland, giving brands access to a high-volume audience of commuters, trade fleets, business decision makers and retail consumers.
Delivering more than 2.2 million impressions each week and an average dwell time of 25 seconds, the site will offer advertisers both reach and attention is a premium roadside environment.
At 26.4 metres wide by 6 metres high, the screen will deliver 158-square-meter digital canvas with a distinctive corner return. More than four times the size of a standard 12m x 3m large-format landscape billboard, giving brands the scale to deliver simple, bold and memorable creative with greater impact.
For agencies and marketers, the format offers more than size alone. It creates a rare opportunity to plan and produce work specifically for a premium large-format digital landscape roadside environment, rather than simply adapting existing campaign assets. For New Zealand creative teams, it marks a significant new landscape canvas in market and a chance to develop ambitious public-facing work at a scale not previously available roadside.
Phil Clemas, CEO and Co-founder of LUMO, says the new site reflects the growing demand from advertisers for premium digital OOH that combines strategic location with standout creative potential.
“LUMO-Great Southern Lights gives brands a rare combination of scale, visibility and time in one of Auckland’s busiest transport arterials. Positioned on a main arterial route corner on Great South Road, it will be seen early, and viewable from all four intersections presenting genuine opportunity for advertisers to build fame and for agencies to develop work designed specifically for the environment.”
LUMO is now in discussion with agencies and brand ahead of launch, with limited inaugural availability for advertisers seeking early access to the format.
