Chooice And LUMO Team Up To Support Kiwi Businesses

LUMO Digital Outdoor is lending a hand to help Chooice’s marketplace of local entrepreneurs across the country get back on their feet following the recent lockdowns.

The initiative will offer hundreds of New Zealand businesses a much-needed boost invisibility, as business resumes over the coming weeks.

Under the partnership, LUMO will offer complimentary creative services and digital billboard placements on its network of 35 screens across Auckland, Hamilton, Tauranga, Wellington, and Christchurch.

“LUMO is a local, independent business with genuine empathy for the difficulties these lockdowns present. This is a nice fit for us and we are excited about partnering with Chooice, who have been doing amazing work developing the NewZealand small business community. Our Up and Running campaign helped a lot of businesses in lockdown of 2020 so we wanted to see how we could extend a helping hand this time through the incredible Chooice community.” Hamish Smith, Chief Marketing Officer of LUMO

Sarah Colcord launched the ‘New Zealand Made Products’Facebook group during lockdown last year to support local businesses, including her own event management company, never envisaging it would morph into an online community for thousands of Kiwi entrepreneurs.

Renamed Chooice, the 551,000-strong community makes it New Zealand’s largest Facebook group, and sales through vendor stores on the website since launch has surpassed $2.5million.

Furthermore, the two organisations are encouraging other media entities to get behind the initiative.

“LUMO and Chooice are kicking this off, but we really want other media companies to step up and get involved with the initiative. TVNZ, Discovery, SKY, NZME. We all have an obligation and the resources to help get the country up and running again, and that starts with small businesses; the backbone of the nation,” says Colcord.

Submissions are now open, with small to medium businesses who need a boost encouraged to visit www.chooice.co.nz for more details.
